Every year, we allow students to choose new advisors or keep their current advisor for the upcoming school year. We handle this by using a Custom Form during the current yeara in late April/early May.

It occurred to me as I was getting things rolling for academic course requests this year, that it would be really nice if the current Course Request mechanism could be used to allow students to choose Advisory Groups, and not just Academic classes. Then we could have them be manager-approved, and hopefully use this to roll right into advisory enrollment from there.
