When completing Medical forms, let "No" clear any sub-fields.

The way medical forms retain information in sub-fields frequently causes problems,

Parents will:

  1. Check "Yes" to a condition or allergy.
  2. Make changes to the sub-fields.
  3. Change their minds, and reset the "Yes" to a "No".

Even though they are not visible to the parent, if they contain information then sub-fields can still cause error messages when submitting this form.

The only way school staff can clear the form (because parents are, quite reasonably, frustrated beyond their willingness to cope) is to get permission to log in as the parent, which involves resetting their password - and is not good practice.

If the "No" setting either blanked the sub-fields or caused them to be ignored, this would make things much easier and would be consistent with behaviour people expect when interacting with online forms.
