Ability to Bulk Change Grade Plan Dates

I would like to be able to bulk change/edit Grade Plan Detail dates for each Grade Plan, rather than having to edit each Grade Plan individually. This will greatly improve efficiency, particularly when a lot of Grade Plans need changing.

Hi! This will be helpful! One enhancement that I hope is coming soon. The Grading Due Date (from School year setup) isn't listed in the columns, so we still need to go into each and every grade plan (so many Lower School Grade plans!) and adjust that for every grading period. Any chance that will be added?

Yay! This is very exciting and looks very easy to navigate. THANK YOU!

I am no longer registrar for our school but I still get these emails
regarding updates. I cannot tell you how helpful this enhancement will be!
It was a long time "needed" and it will be so beneficial for many! Thank
    you for getting this through!
    Take care!

    Hello, Hello -

With today's release, we have enhanced how Marking Periods, formally Grade Plans, can be managed. By going to Academics > Grades > Grade management, you will now land on a grading hub. From this location, you can make bulk edits to your Marking Period dates. To switch to different school levels / terms, select the gear icon to the right. Afterwards, you can use the Edit marking period button to make those date adjustments. You no longer have to go into School Year Setup and change these one-by-one.

We have more enhancements coming to the Grading Hub experience in the near future, so be on the lookout in our What's New communications for those updates.

Can you tell us when this will be implemented? I'm about to go through my annual slog of updating over 80 grade plans. I was really hoping this would be in place by now.

How long does it typically take for an idea to go from Planned to Implementation? It would be amazing if this change could be implemented before the 2025-2026 school year!

    • I'm glad to see this is planned, could you also please incorporate a time field in this request as well. The Defaults can still be 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, but giving the school the ability to actually put in the cut off time for teachers would be a huge time saver. As of now, we have to set a reminder to go in and adjust the date to prevent teachers from entering grades after the stated time. Here is the idea: K12OR-I-229 - Thank you.

Oh my gosh - it takes FOREVER to change all of our grade plans. Yes, please!

Come on BB, what are you waiting for? The 10th anniversary of this request? With over 500 votes for the 5 requests you've merged together into this one, it should be obvious that we desperately need this function. Your support team says you listen to these votes, but you've been ignoring this request for almost 10 yrs. If your team cannot come up with the coding to accomplish it, then just tell us. It's time for this change to happen!

Commenting to bump this yet again. As I update dates for 80 grade plans times 2 semesters.

What really irritates me is that I'm guessing >90% of schools only need one set of dates for grade plans yet all Bb customers have to input these dates for each grade plan.

80 grade plans. Still changing dates on each one individually. Colossal waste of time and energy, not to mention opportunity for error! Can we PLEASE get this feature??? Sorry if I sound cranky, it's just so frustrating that we don't have this yet.

This idea with 165 votes (at this moment) was merged with two other ideas that had 98 and 95 votes respectively. The merged ideas tab shows those 2 plus 2 more that were merged. There's also two other ideas that haven't been merged (https://blackbaudk12.ideas.aha.io/ideas/K12OR-I-1575, https://blackbaudk12.ideas.aha.io/ideas/K12OR-I-2197).

So technically, this idea actually has more than 383 votes. It's obvious it is largely popular but I can't remember it ever being addressed since Mark Sargent did back in 2014. And if ideas are merged, why aren't the votes added together?

This would be a HUGE help. We have 32 grade plans for our Lower School.

Yes please!! We have 26 grade plan groups each with 4 grade plans and updating dates each year is such a pain! Takes FOREVER updating grade plans one-by-one and involves way too many clicks. Plus, I'm always paranoid that I'll miss a date somewhere along the way so I double-check each grade plan after updating them all since we can't even see the dates (except due date) until you click "View" on each individual one.

As Angela mentioned, we use the same reporting dates for each grade plan so I'm basically entering the same dates 26 times x 4 times a year.

This is a MUST. I don't understand how we need to go into every grade plan to make the changes. I have more than 200 grade plans!!!!
