If a student has been enrolled in a course they chose as an alternate (as opposed to a primary level request), that course does not highlight in teal on the Student Enrollment grid when editing a student's enrollment. This creates a great risk of double-booking a kid, since you can't easily see that the student is in fact enrolled in that alternate course.
