In the past, as attendance manager (not a teacher), if I entered an absence for a full day, it would override existing entries by teachers. Suddenly, I am finding students with more absences in a day than classes in their schedule for that day, as absences are being duplicated for class periods where teachers had already entered absences. When I find out a student will be out all day, I should be able to enter a full-day absence with notations without having to go in and manually adjust absences for each individual class. Additionally, it should not be possible for a student to receive multiple absences in one class period on the same day. If anything, there should be a pop-up indicating that attendance has already be entered and do I want to override this entry.
