List of prerequisite courses when setting up course request parameters should be by division and alphabetical

When setting up prerequisites for a course under the Course requests tab, the list of courses from which to choose should be sorted in alphabetical order within division. The piecemeal order that is currently displayed is difficult and time consuming to search. And, as mentioned in a previous idea, the course code would be helpful to display for courses that have the same name but are different incarnations, identified to us by the course code.

In particular, having the Pre-Primary division courses interspersed with the Upper School division is a needless challenge when looking for the correct course to list as a prerequisite.

    Admin response

The box for entering courses was updated to be a search box with the 12/7/21 release, allowing for quick access to the course needing to be added.

There needs to be a tiered approach to populating this course list dropdown.

    1. Select the School Level.

    2. Select the Department.

    3. Populated the dropdown with courses.

Even better would be to add a Search Box. When doing this work, you already have an idea about which course(s) you want to use for your prerequisite(s). Having to scroll through ALL of them just to find the 1 or 2 or 3 that you're looking for is pointless.
