It would be helpful for our teachers to have an idea of their students' overall progress in school by seeing their grades in progress in all their classes just like parents and advisors can.

The workaround is to allow coaches to see the academic progress of their players and then make all your teachers coaches as well. This is not idea, but it does get the job done and allows teachers to have an idea of their students' overall academic picture.
