Hi Folks -

With this latest release, we are now allowing schools to opt into a new Assignment Center experience for students and parents. This Idea has been implemented as part of that new set of features. If your school is interested in learning more about activating this feature in your database, a Platform Manager will need to go to Core > Settings > Activate new features. From there, you can find some enablement materials to better inform yourself on the changes. When your school is ready, the feature can be enabled on that new Activate new features page.

For this particular feature, students will be able to see the points on both the new Assignment center, and on their assignment submission page.

Thank you for the update! When you add features, they always help a certain group of people. This feature really helps STUDENTS - the most important group.

Please allow this information to be disseminated to the students. It will provide valuable information for them and assist them in planning their strategies to complete their work in a timely manner.

Absolutely! Students should be able to see how many points an assignment is when it is assigned.

Please allow students to see the point value of assignments before they are graded. The way things are set up now, it is unfair.

A separate field in the student view for point value will catch the attention of students and help us teach them good planning.

This is important to help students prioritize their efforts, and also to help them better understand how different assignments help their grades. It's also a lot more obvious to students than the current situation, where they must look at the detailed report to see the point value after grading .. many students never bother to learn how to do this.
