After attendance is taken for one period, it appears nothing for that whole day can be modified. Sometimes unexpected emergencies require on-the-fly changes to the times of classes and duties in the middle of the day. All changing times at least for blocks that have not yet occurred in the day, or better yet even meetings that have already passed.

Another problem this causes is that when changes must be made to the schedule outline, any special schedule that has already occurred populates conflict lists (we had to add a block to accommodate a special situation on the fly but a day 1 special schedule will now cause students to show a conflict for the entire year since the added block cannot be modified on past days).
