So that parents can more easily stay engaged with their current student progress, it would be nice to have the SIS send out a periodic (weekly?) email to parents and students that lists their current class grades, recent assignments, upcoming assignments, recent attendance, etc. It looks like you can set up notifications for individual occurrences and all of this info can be found when a parent logs in, but it would be helpful for parents to be given a periodic progress overview in their inbox without them having to actively log in.
