When inputting absences for a student, whether for a single day or over multiple days, the new Academic profile (EAP) Attendance module only allows you to check one category for the absence. Since a child who will be out for an entire day or days misses multiple commitments (classes, athletics, advisory meeting, etc.), there needs to be a way to check mulitple categories to assign the absence.

As the new attendance system currently works, you have to create the absence in Academics, then go back and create the same absence in Athletics, then go back and create the same absence in Activities, etc., etc. It's an insane amount of work to record an absence for a student who will be out for any length of time.
