Right now the warning for withdrawing a student gives a warning that if the depart date is set within a term it will set the dropped flag. This is true but does not reflect the full impact of this action. For schools using the new report card and transcript builders, unless they have the option to show dropped courses set, the courses and grades impacted by the dropped flag will be hidden from the report card and transcript. Most schools prefer not to show dropped courses so the result of this action is giving the student a blank year of their transcript or report card if the date is during the term. A more strongly worded warning giving people the heads up that withdrawing with a depart date on or before the end of the term would cause the report card and transcript to not show grades would be more useful at this time.
