Our attendance manager (AM) needs to be able to set a code before school starts on a student and needs to prevent only that student 's code from being changed thereafter. [it's a code that should tell the teacher to send the student to the AM]

Locking the entire class, which is availble now, is not useful as that would lock the whole class, which would prevent the teachesr from indicating attendance for the other students.
