Ideally, a teacher would have one grade book that includes both regular and honor students in the class. The grade book would have a notation similar to LP notating if the student is an honors student or not. Course distinctions are great for transcripts/report cards, but there still needs to be two sections created for one course. One section houses the roster for regular students and another for Honor/ADV students. Changes in the grade book have made it easier for teachers to assign different assignments to students individually, but there is no way for the teacher to see which student should get the regular assignments or the honor version. Having a notation on the grade book roster would be immensely helpful.
