Working now in the K-8 space coming from High School I've learned that taking accurate dismissal attendance is of increased importance. Our users have employed an outside tool that allows attendance codes at the end of the day to assign students to rosters for busses, afterschool care, or parent pick up lines automatically so that people managing those programs know who should be there.

While you might be able to handle this by hand with an activity group, it seems like a neat feature that could even be extended to be used for field trips and other situations when attendance is needed, but it is not part of the consistent daily schedule.
