When teachers set their gradebooks up by year, then the student's gradebooks show a cumulative grade. Our school calculates the year grade by averaging the first and second semester grades. That cumulative grade can be close, but it isn't the same. This is confusing teachers and makes them think that the grades are not calculating correctly .
