Errors when uploading user photos

If there is an error occurring when trying to upload a user photo the system does not indicate an error. The screen either "blinks" upon clicking save and no changes take effect, or you get the never ending breathing dot.

It would be so helpful for the system to let you know that not only is there an error, but WHAT TYPE OF ERROR is occurring. Wrong file type? Image too large? It's always a guessing game. The photo upload window should list the parameters so we don't have to keep notes on what file types and sizes are acceptable.

This goes for errors across the whole SIS - very rarely will an error give you the WHY. If BB's support was reliable and knowledgable, this wouldn't be a huge issue, just an inconvenience, but trying to get accurate and timely information from support is impossible. Please have better guidelines baked into the UI.

I'll throw in there: I find the "don't panic" generic error page that does come up (and suppresses any actual information about even the HTTP error code thrown) to be immensely aggravating to work with as well. I get the need to not be alarmist, but having meaningful, operational information when something goes wrong is what I find to be soothing.
