Currently, we have a maximum of 7 courses for each student. Students are able to select alternate courses for each course until that 7th course is chosen. At that time, you cannot select from the drop-down of a course to pick an alternate course. All of the courses become grayed out. 

I want the students to still be able to select the drop-down next to courses and choose alternates after they have input the 7 courses that are their first choice.
