Ability to use Attendance Rules with other Group Types besides Academic

Currently, the only option for Attendance Rules in Conduct is for Academics. Our school uses period attendance for Academics, but would like the Attendance rules to be setup so that Students are only marked absent if they are gone an entire day. We use Advisories for that, but at this time Advisories are not offered for use with Attendance Rules.

We apply Infractions to students who have an unexcused tardy or absence from all events including Advisory, Athletics, and Activities, in addition to Academic classes. It is very disappointing that the Attendance Rules for Conduct Infractions do not work for all Group types. This seems like a very important improvement for school management.

Can we fix this? 4 years later and this seems an easy adjustment...

This would be very helpful. We start the day with a morning assembly and take attendance.

Yes, please!  Our morning assemblies are activities and not a class, but when students are late, it doesn't link to our consequences- WHICH IS SO IMPORTANT!

Agreed, a number of schools use advisories as their homerooms for attendance. Not having attendance rules for any other group type is very limiting.

+1 We weight our class absences differently than our activity absences. It would really help to be able to set up attendance rules to reflect this. Thanks for considering!

We need this for Activity  Groups. We set-up our PE classes as activities so that we can set them up on the trimester (our academic schedule is actually quarters), because they rotate with the athletic season. This is because if a kid is on a team they don't have to take PE that term.

We would LOVE to use Attendance Rules in Conduct for PE, which has been a hard piece of data to track because our much of our PE happens off site, like at the Health & Racquet club.
