Allow parents to choose font size for report card
Merged
I would like to request that you allow a parent to first choose their font sizes before loading up the Report Card. Currently there is no option for a user to configure the font size and the printed font is rather small. Otherwise I would like it if the default font size when printing Report Cards was larger.
onRecord reporting is useless if it cannot be read by constituents. At the very least the default size should be changed to 10, and it should be done yesterday. How hard is that?
Man, did you guys butcher this support ticket when moving it to a "New Idea". The overall idea should be to allow for a more configurable template for report cards. See the original support ticket 18431 that was submitted 10 months ago as well as the images presented:
"This is the first time our school will be presenting report cards to parents from the WhippleHill system and the results to date for creating the report card are not meeting our expectations. Overall, the content is 100%, but the output and presentation lacks the professionalism that we usually maintain. I am attaching two images of the generated reports to show samples of our areas of concern:
1. We are totally paperless when presenting report cards to parents and give them the option of printing report cards on demand. The output for our lower school progress reports is primarily text. As you can see from the file labeled MPCDS_OnlineReportCard, the font is less than 8 pt and is unreadable when viewing and printing.
2. Visually, the report’s header establishes the margin of the report. The content of the report is not printing to the established right margin of the report. The result is an offset, non-centered report skewed to the left that leaves a ? to 1-inch gap of white space from the content margin to the established margin.
3. The logo is not centered in the page header. It is offset to the right. Again, this skew makes it appear that the school is not paying attention to detail.
4. There is no spacing between courses, resulting in an even more “jammed” presentation.
5. The course heading is not grouping with the content; therefore, it is dangling at the end of the page by itself. We’ve had tremendously positive feedback on everything that we have rolled out with the new system since October 1; parents will be logging in on October 28 to view progress reports."
