Currently, absences are just absences. We are an elementary school, and have our attendance set up for "daily." I have set up many different categories for teachers to choose from, depending on the reason for the absence, including "half day." But the system only counts and totals the absence, whether it's a half day or a full day absence. In Education Edge, we had the half-day option, and totals would add properly.
We have been waiting for this option for years. It is long overdue.
This is a much needed update.
This was requested a long time ago - I had hoped by now it would have been implemented.
There is a Full Day/Half Day selection in attendance set up, but the Attendance Setup Guide says:
Full Day / Half Day: This feature is not fully functional yet. Your selection will not affect daily absence counts.
Please make this functional! It has been that way for at least as long as we have been using Blackbaud (1.5 years). Please get this done, or all "daily" to calculate a portion of the day based on the time frame entered.
I would like to see half day and even quarter day reporting.
Absent 1, 0.75, 0.5, 0.25 days.
