We are running into some issues with students who wish to withdraw from a full-year course at this late date, but our handbook clearly states that their transcript must show a grade of WP (Withdraw Pass) or WF (Withdraw Fail). Currently, I am told that in order to do this, I have to create a new grade plan and new courses attached to the new grade plan. Not sure exactly how to do this and make it work.
Ideally, I would like to see A - F grades, P/F grades, and WP or WF all in a single grade plan. That way, we would have the flexibility we need to handle any situation that arises during the course of the year. Administrators/Managers would be the only folks who have access to the WP WF grades, not faculty.
