Change sort order of attendance types
We'd like to use attendance as part of a homeroom activity, where 50+ students gather before the start of classes. When attendance takers see a student, they mark him as present (with WH it would be Attended Class) - anyone else is either late or absent. This is not easily done when the default value is Attended Class. We'd like a different default value, so the ability to set the order would be helpful. Thanks

We need an option to allow us to set our own defaults either by group/school level Even if the default was blank this would be helpful.
Also adding a search at the top of the attendance window where as you type the name comes to up to mark attendance would also help and then the Save button.
Agreed. We have an issue with teachers marking students present accidentally for multiple classes, so that we do not know they are absent until much later in the day. Having to manually click present for each kid would be optimal for student safety and record accuracy.
Agreed- we have an identical use case that renders this impossible for us as well.
I posted this idea (or certainly have emailed about it) in the old WH boards. This is a great idea. I would envision it with a list of students in a column, or multi-column depending on the device, with an unchecked "green check" to their left. As you see them, you check them. Pictures should be optional, to give the option to tighten up the experience if students already know their students.
Agree. We can't use the attendance module for live attendance-taking because of this.
