HIL Profile & politics

When reviewing the HIL profile of financial aid applications, I have noticed that it will list "Conservative" or "Leaning Conservative" or "Liberal."  I think it is very inappropriate for Smart to list political preferences as part of the HIL profile.  If reviewing a families spending habits it is clear that the family has made political contributions, it is enough to list on the HIL profile a description of "Political Interests" or just "Political."  Describing a family as "Conservative" or "Leaning Conservative" or "Liberal" is a value judgement and presumptive on the part of Smart.  It may also have the negative effect of prejudicing the reviewing committee against the family.  A family's political beliefs should not have any bearing on their eligibility for financial aid.  I hope that Smart will remove this description.  Listing "Political" or "Political Interests" is enough.
