If a student family makes duplicate payments via the buy now function, the only way to process a refund to those families is to write them a check. That is a lot of work for a simple processing function that all major processors offer when collecting digital payments (Square, Stripe, Worldpay, etc.). Buy Now (Pay Now) functionality needs the ability to process payments back to payers. It is horrible-look for us as schools to request digital payments for "controls" sake and then cut checks manually back to them.
