Allow parents to see future billing cycles
Our billing cycles typically include the first day of the following month so parents can see charges that are posted as of the first. However this doesn't work at year end, for example I can't set a billing period to end 7/1 because our fiscal year ends 6/30. On the statement drop down tab, you should allow for viewing of future periods so parents can see those charges. While most useful in this case, it would also be helpful for parents to go out any number of future periods for the sake of their planning.

Unfortunately we've found this is not clear to some parents, and a few need to be able to generate future statements, showing amounts that will be due next month.
Families seem to expect to be able to generate a statement that resembles a utility bill: showing the amount owing next month against what items are due at that future point, so they can discuss and plan for payments.
We recently added the Upcoming due dates tile to the payer portal so that parents can better understand future amounts due.
