How to pronounce a name help Merged

It would be helpful for international schools to be able to have a link to play an audio recording of how the name is pronounced. This would be on the contact card and display in the directory as well for all members of the school to hear.

    Can this idea be linked to the other idea regarding same/similar request K12OC-I-2279 "Audio File of Student's name on profile" 11/2019? They are the same idea and the vote increase could help to get this seriously considered hopefully. We really need to have an option for this for many reasons and is becoming more of a necessity. Imagine how nice it would be to have your teachers be able to correctly pronounce your name and help toward that feeling of inclusiveness and being known. And right now that would go a very long way.

    This would be a helpful diversity and inclusion tool for all schools in providing an opportunity to greet members of the community by their preferred name, while pronouncing correctly.

    Ideally, I'd love to see this show up under the users profile photo, and if they have the ability to edit the pronunciation recording, a button to record the pronunciation of their name.
