Audio or video clip as part of the student bio.
For teachers, administrators, counselors and coaches it would be a helpful way to learn to correctly pronounce a students name. A short audio or video clip of the student introducing himself / herself created by the student saying something short like "Hi my name is [student name]". Something similar a vine video.

Such a necessary tool where students/faculty record directly into the contact card and is pushed to the Gradebook and Roster just like Medical and Learning Profiles. I've considered recording my own files but that is an enormous task for every school to undertake when a universal tool would solve everyone's problem. Please continue to elevate!
I concur with the guest comment, a button accessible to the student on the contact card used to record an audio or video clip of themselves introducing themselves to the community. The school should be able to determine which constituents would be view the media.
We envisioned a button on contact card that student ideally could record their name and then staff could click to hear the pronunciation.

We would love to have a streamlined way to do this through Blackbaud. An LTI with NameCoach might work, but maybe not for our under 13 students. A simple file upload option for students as part of their Contact Card options would be awesome.
We've achieved this by collecting the recordings separately (in our case using Microsoft Forms), and then using the Core > System Tools > Bulk Upload - Bulk Upload User Files option to attach them to their record.
It would be nice to have this separated in some way though. We have attached a few files to student records so these recordings get lost in the "Files" area on the student record.
Not sure about the costs for NameCoach but I could see us using something like that - it would certainly help us be more inclusive and welcoming for all our students.
Hi there, we are hopeful that in our upcoming LTI upgrade we can enhance our partner capabilities to be able to integrate with providers like NameCoach so that if you had that LTI connection set up you would be able to launch audio of the name pronunciation from contact card and other places. Do you think you would use that as an alternate solution if we can get that in place?
For a school with a lot of international students, this is high priority as it would allow us a chance to learn how to say everyone's names properly.
Especially the video clip would be awesome!
