Ability to set a display and expire date for events on Recent Activity page

It would be useful to expire events (like you can do for news stories) on the Recent Activity page so we can keep it with up-to-date information about upcoming events. It would also be nice to show events ahead of time instead of the day of the event. Right now I have to put in a news item to show it ahead of time.

    Right now All news (that is not expired) posts to both RECENT & ARCHIVE.... Silly! The expire date on a news piece will remove the piece from BOTH RECENT & ARCHIVE. If not expire date is set, then news will stay in RECENT for 365 days from initial post. Should have a Recent expire date and an Archive Expire date within each news posting.
