We would like to make Rooms that we will no longer use, inactive. At this time we can only make the Building inactive. Having the ability to mark Rooms inactive would save time as we would need to recreate an active Building without those rooms.
The extra rooms show up when working on scheduling for the new year. For instance, in View Master Calendar and Set Section Info. For schools who have re-organized their campus building/room naming conventions, a lot of extra, inactive rooms show up unnecessarily. We chose to rename rooms where possible, partly because of the inability to truly inactivate buildings or rooms, but mainly because the process was completed during the summer, after the Master Schedule had already been built out for the new year.
