Students and faculty sometimes hide their profiles from everyone in their privacy settings. Hiding profiles is counterproductive, annoying, and dangerous, especially when teachers need to view emergency contact information. We could use a method for disallowing students, primarily from checking the "Include my name but do not include any other information about me" option in their privacy settings to keep lines of communication open.
