Quick Indicator of New Student Status

It would be helpful to see at a glance which students are new to the school for the current school year. It could be as simple as an asterisk similar to the graduation class indicator in a students roster display name or more involved such as the Learning Plan indicator. Being a field we can filter by in lists would also be helpful.

    We use Official Notes for this, but it's not fool-proof. A flag/indicator of some sort from the roster would be wonderful!

    Yes, this would be great. We have additional things that we would like teachers to be aware of just by glancing at their rosters, but the profile notice creates too much of a "panic" especially if our students see it. We'd like to be able to choose from different symbols (preferably one's we can customize by uploading the symbols) to indicate certain things, ie. special programs they are a part of.
