Notifications for Newly Enrolled Students

Each time a new student is enrolled there is a long list of items that different departments (IT being one) need to respond to. It would be beneficial for those with specific permissions to receive a notification when a new student has been enrolled.

I agree with Talia Requena. We do the same thing. We can't customize our certificates or welcome letters with logos or borders, creating extra steps for use having to export, mail merge, then print. The Welcome Letters should be "mail merged" PDF attachments customized for the families to email out in bulk. This is common practice at many schools. I don't think Blackbaud is aware of how customized branding and marketing works and the importance of acceptance packages.

I also came specifically to vote for this idea after various departments wanted to receive an automated notification email each time a candidate officially became a student.

A simple fix is to change the Online Contract Processed notification settings to allow the notification recipients or distribution group to be managed by the school. Most admissions teams will send a customized and branded welcome letter to a new student upon enrollment and the lack of customization allowed for this particular notification would not meet those needs. For most schools this notification is likely inactive, however, as an internal communication tool this setting would be useful as the processing of the contract is the final step in the enrollment process, which would be the perfect indicator for all Admin involved to then create or initiate set-up of the required accounts for an individual student as required outside of the CORE system.
