I'm shocked that this doesn't have more requests. It's crazy that the field is exposed in basic lists, but not available in Advanced Lists.

Our specific situation is that we have students with split households but only want to list out their primary household. We also want to list the parents and their cell phone numbers only.

We have a student who lives in China (Home) and has a preferred address (home2) of NY so that mail goes there.  Not being able to pull by preferred causes problems.  We keep the China as Home type because when we look at travel arrangements, we have to get student back to China at end of term.  I vote for having the field preferred available for advanced/sky queries so we can pull data as needed.
