This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit K12CO-I-542 School Forms: parents/guardians marked as "list as parent" and "give parental access" should receive the forms.
Currently, if a School or Medical Form is assigned to be receive by Parents, those with Guardian Role do not receive it. Most of our forms can take Guardian signature, and our international students often only have a local Guardian readily available to sign forms.
So, perhaps a checkbox to "include guardians" at some point in the interface.
I have seen that step-parents are no longer added to a form as "Parent", regardless of "list as parent" or "parental access" toggle in their relationship settings to a child. Which is good, as they don't have legal standing to sign forms. Early in EAP I think they were being added and I had to remove them one-by-one.
This could be merged with Idea 542 probably, which is Planned.
I think we should be able to include guardians to any form IF NEEDED. If it is a legal form, they wouldn't be automatically added, but if it is an informational form, they could. Ex: Emergency Contact Updates - the guardian is absolutely the one that needs to complete this form and they currently can't receive them.
