Set reminder date for events

Unless I'm mistaken, we can't set the date that reminder emails go our for events, right? There's an option to set the date for visits. Why isn't this built into events? Why do these two "modules" (events and visits) look different, we set them up differently, and they have totally different features and options? This is kind of crazy....

Please allow us to determine when we want the reminders to go out for Events, or for heaven's sake at least tell us when they go!!!! It's not even in the help files, so when these emails go is a total mystery to us. There's no documentation that we can find anywhere about this. Yikes!

 

P.S. "Events" isn't even an option for a category in the drop-down which is worrisome, so I had to choose Communication which is the closest I could come. I would expect that I could select from all of the categories you offer.
