If a re-enrollment contract has been submitted by the parent(s) but not yet processed by the school, the parent(s) cannot view any version - web or pdf - of the contract. There needs to be read-only access to the submitted contract so that parent(s) can revisit what they have submitted and look at items such as selected payment plans, body of the contract, deposit payment type, amount, and instructions (for in-school payments). Several days can pass between their submission and the contract getting processed by the school and parents complain about inability to access information in their Blackbaud portal.
Further to this a lot of our international families submit their tuition payment via a wiring service. They need a copy of the contract to be able to initiate the wire. Our Admissions office now has to download contracts on demand and email them. If this could be self-service for parents it would be a lot better. 1) They need a copy of their contract before signing 2) They need to be able to esily see the deposit they owe if they don't happen to submit payment at contract submission time.
Yes, parents selecting "In School" payment have a hard time finding the deposit amount they owe. It seems like the only place for them to look is Files/Forms, completed forms. Our accounting office leaves contracts as not processed until she actual receives a payment. I see there is no way to merge the deposit amount into the submission email either.
