I would like the Placeholder for Household Salutation for the Parents in onBoard Official notes. This placeholder is available in the Mail Merges but not Official Notes and I would like it added. We use the Household Salutation such as Mr. and Mrs. Smith when sending Official onBoard Notes.
We are new to Blackbaud, and this is a feature we had in our last database. Having this feature is essential for our work flow, and I'm having a slight panic attack trying to figure out how to work around this in a way that doesn't drastically impact our office's ability to effectively communicate. Thank you so much for considering!
I agree that it would be very nice to have this. If you need a workaround, we actually enter the "Household Salutation" for a child as their parents' names (i.e. Mr. and Mrs. Smith).
That way, even though the Official Note is "student-centric" and only allows you to use student placeholders, the student's Household Salutation contains the parents' names, and you can thus drop the parents' names into the Official Note.
We were only able to do this because we weren't using student Household Salutations for anything else, i.e. they didn't have to contain the student's own name. Our reason for that is that we can usually just drop the child's first and last name into any notes using the specific placeholders for those.
How is this STILL not implemented? It is so inconvenient to address accept letters to parents of our PreK to 5th-grade students.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
