It's not easy at quick glance of the gradebook to distinguish which assignments have been published to students' open gradebooks and which have not yet been published. This is an important distinction for our faculty, who deliberately hold off on publishing certain assessment results until after they have returned the feedback to students. The lack of indicator makes it easy to leave assessments unpublished and unintentionally distort the students' view of their performance.
