I understand that BB doesn't want to list all assignments at once as this will slow the interface. However, there should be an option to show the top N assignments (thereby limiting the number) of all assignments (past, future, published, unpublished). If a teacher modifies the filter (don't show unpublished, for example) this change should be saved so the next time I view the assignment tab, my preference is still applied. Currently, the interface is much more clunky than it was before (with the quick past/present/future toggles) . These old toggles often got missed by students/teachers but the new interface is much worse and much easier to miss.
