Seating charts look great, and will work for a small number of our classes that do use a grid-like seating (we don't have desks, only tables and chairs). For rooms that move tables around, though, the grid is more difficult to use as students sit at odd angles or in circles. I would like to see the option of using either (1) the grid layout or (2) an open workspace where you could drag the photos to any location and the system saves the coordinates of the placement. Then you don't need any other special shape layouts -- the teacher could create any layout they wanted and slide students around as needed.
