Change the color for overdue in the assignment center

Our teachers are asking for Overdue to be a different color than Missing. If teachers aren't able to mark an assignment as collected quickly, then the assignment gets coded as overdue for the student. Teachers are having to go into the gradebook twice, once to mark collected and again to grade and express they don't have time for this. If the color was different, they feel the students would be less stressed by the overdue.

    Hi Michael,

    I saw that in a previous idea and checked. Ours is set to completed. The teacher used paper submission for one and in system for the other - so both got marked to overdue which stressed out the students who knew they turned it in.

    She felt like a color change for overdue wouldn't be as overwhelming.

    Hi Sara -

    I just wanted to let you know of a setting that may work for your needs. If you go to Academics > Grading > Grading setup > Assignments, in there is a setting for you to control the status of assignments when they reach their due date. It sounds like you may have this currently set to 'Overdue', however, it is possible to change this to 'To do' which will make those assignments blue and will instead only move assignments to an Overdue status if the teacher required online or on-paper submission.
