I would like assignment notifications to include a notification for when assignments are submitted, especially late assignments, to make it easier to keep track of these.

At this point, this should be planned.
Not only does this request have 100+ votes, it is also duplicated at least eight times. The "Related ideas" section is currently showing many of them right now. Why are these not merged?
It would be nice to have the option to have a notification but not require it. Some teachers dont want to be notified every time a file is shared with them.
This idea has over 100 votes and it is from 2015. Is there any plan to implement this? I am going to be really honest, when we were sold this platform you all made it sound like you took these ideas seriously and worked with your users to make your product better. However, I see a lot of very common sense ideas in here and very little implementation. Currently, there is no way for a teacher to see a basic to-do list of what needs to be graded. This should be a basic function of an LMS. It is 2020 and so many schools are relying more and more on students turning in work virtually, but how are you helping us organize that work?
This is also necessary when multiple drafts are accepted for the same written assignment!

Yes! We would love to have this feature. Although it would be better to have a tab next to "graded" in Assignment center that shares how many have turned in the assignment.
YES! I want notifications for late/past due assignments.
It seems to be too much work for the teacher to have to go back in to their classes every day to check if a student submitted an assignment yet so they can finally grade it - a notification through email would be great
