Allow a teacher to edit (make corrections) to an assessment even after it has been taken, so that it can be corrected for other students.

Currently, if a student finds an error in an assessment, the teacher does not have the ability to make corrections to the question.  Allow the teacher to make those corrections.

This very broad idea is merged with ideas that have specific requests have not been fully implemented so it is disingenuous to have them lumped in and marked as "implemented". While there has definitely been some progress on assessments, the basic ability of giving teachers flexibility to edit assessment points (total and how those points are distributed) still doesn't exist after students have started the assessment.

Unfortunately, this feature still does not work. I was so much looking forward to the changes, but edits still cannot be made after an assessment is started. This is an absolutely essential feature. The tool is useless without it.

    Hello Everyone -

I'm happy to announce that we have released this function with the new assessment building experience that has started to rollout to schools this week. If you do not yet see the new builder as a option when going to make an assessment, bear with us for just a little bit longer as we get this rolled out to everyone!

This feature does come with some caveats, as not everything can be edited. For example, questions may not be deleted, added or copied once students have begun to take the assessment. But correct answers, text, and files/images within the questions all can be edited. Changing correct answers will not retroactively re-grade any assessments, however. So, that would need to be manually corrected by the teacher on the evaluation screen for any student that submitted the assessment prior to the change being done by the teacher.

Hey Folks - Happy to report that this is planned for our new iteration of the assessment builder. Right now we have it planned for teachers to be able to adjust text in questions and answers and adjust correct answers to questions.

Please look forward to the new assessment experience coming out later this school year!

typographical errors, a question that needs greater clarity. Teachers really need to be able to make corrections as soon as they are found

I would like the freedom to change points per question. Sometimes I decide to give credit after an answer has been marked wrong.

In particular, teachers need to be able to make changes to how the assessment is scored. Currently, the teacher can change the max points on a quiz after students have started taking it but they can't change how many points are assigned to each question. The points per question wouldn't have any effect on students taking the assessment so I don't see why this isn't something that could be easily implemented.

This is a must. It has caused a lot of problems for our teachers. They find an error in A period class and cannot fix it for the B period class. Definitely needs to be changed.

This is a problem, especially as students cannot get proper feedback if the teacher makes a typo in a short answer question. It is not encouraging that this issue was first raised in Sept 2015.
