Remove Extra Steps from an Event Registration with no fee or Items

Currently in an Event Registration with no Items or Fee, a user will see:

Step 2: No event items to view
Step 3: No registration fees for this event, click "Finish" to complete your event registration.

I would like these screen not to display if there is no content for the users to fill out.

      I think it would be nice even if there is one event only that it would auto-select that one and auto-flow.
