It would be great to have a the option to e-mail or text a notification to parents, students, and faculty. Currently we are having to get everyone to subscribe an announcement category called, Emergency Notification. It would be great if they were just automatically part of a list the school creates.
We are spending significantly more on onCampus versus RenWeb, but we lost this feature when we adopted onCampus. This is a weak part of the Blackbaud value proposition - it should be enabled.
An additional issue with this we have unfortunately discovered after manually enrolling parents for Emergency Notifications, is that the notifications are not tied to role, so all PAST parents are receiving it as well, unless we manually unsubscribe all of them.
This would solve lots of problems for us to- we should be able to create opt-in, or OPT-OUT groups.
