I'd like an option to have the drop-down menu show all nav items when you hover over it.

I don't think mega menus can do this, but perhaps the mini sitemap could...either way, if R&D is considering menu functionality enhancements this would still be a good one to have as it could make doing this easy to accomplish without CSS "tricks."
