In Education Edge, we could assign a course to a block, which would give it a certain pattern of meeting times, but then we could manually adjust the meeting times of that particular class without affecting the block. In OnRecord, any deviation from a block pattern requires its own block. This has led us to create an overwhelming number of blocks, many of which meet at the same time most of the time until the particular deviation. Having multiple blocks meeting at the same time has led us to create an overwhelming number of redundant meeting times and schedule sets. Altogether, this renders the reports, for instance, on students free by block and by meeting time pretty much useless.
