Missing Work: Allow students to submit work if the grade entered in the gradebook is "zero"

Currently, if a student fails to upload an assignment I will eventually mark the assignment as a zero in the gradebook.  However, once a grade is entered they can no longer upload anything.  This is frustrating.  Perhaps they can upload something if it marked as a zero.

    Hi There,

    We implemented this a few months ago and it appears we missed closing out this idea. Students can submit an assignment online even if they have a 0 grade so long as they haven't used up all the allowed submissions.

    Yes, The zero helps kick up the stakes more so than marking it missing. Also, is there were a due date and a submission deadline. It could look at the submission deadline date allowing students to continue submitting past the due date.
