We would love to be able to enroll a student in courses and not have them show for teacher roster/attendance purposes until a scheduled date. We have some mid-year transfer and international students who start at a different time than our students who started in the fall and we want to make sure that the spot are held for them in the courses that they need. At the moment as soon as you enroll a student in a course they show up and that creates a bit of chaos for our teachers and attendance officers.

I know you can enroll and then choose error to unenroll and then re-enroll when they actually start but that's a lot of back and forth and can lead to errors.
